Grief gatherings · Shared charcuterie

A seat for you.
Space for your grief.

Some things are easier to carry around a table. Grief & Grapes brings conversation and charcuterie together, with room to talk, listen, and simply be.

No perfect words required.

Our promise at the table

  • Share only what you want
  • Listen without judgment
  • No timeline for grief

The idea is simple

Good food.
Honest conversation.
A little company.

Grief doesn’t always need advice. Sometimes it needs a place to land, and someone willing to listen.

This is a space for connection around grief, not a replacement for therapy or clinical care.

01

Come as you are

Bring your stories, your questions, or just yourself. You don’t need to explain everything to belong at the table.

02

Talk, or take it in

Make room for conversations about loss that everyday life can leave little space for. Listening is just as welcome as sharing.

03

Share a board, share a moment

Charcuterie gives us something to gather around. Between bites and conversation, there’s room for sadness, laughter, and everything in between.

A note from Elizabeth Scheeler

A table inspired by my brother, Ricky.

Since losing my brother Ricky, I’ve learned that you don’t always know which kind of day it will be.

I’ve also learned how much it means when someone lets you talk about your person. When they say their name. When they listen without trying to fix the hurt or hurry you through it.

That’s why I’m creating Grief & Grapes, through Platter to Plate: a gathering for people living with loss, where we’ll share beautiful charcuterie, optional wine, alcohol-free refreshments, and whatever we feel ready to bring to the conversation.

Tell us about your person. What they cooked. What made them laugh. The little things you’re afraid you’ll forget. Tell the story again—we haven’t heard it yet.

If you don’t have words that day, you can simply sit with us. You don’t have to introduce yourself through your hardest moment to deserve a place here.

Inspired by Ricky and our shared love of cooking, I want to create a table where we can miss our people together—and, when it comes, welcome a little laughter, too.

Whether your loss happened recently or years ago, you are welcome. Come as you are. Your person’s name, your tears, your laughter, and your quiet all have a place at this table.
